The promised good news has come. We can be saved, rescued, and forgiven by God’s one and only Messiah/Christ/Savior Jesus. That is the greatest news ever given to mankind. What does the study of the gospel do for us? This should ground us in understanding that the gospel is an exact message, and no one gets to make up their own. In a world where all types of phrases are used to poorly describe the gospel it is up to us to know it, to defend it, and to speak it correctly. Also, it is a call for us to make sure we do not misrepresent the gospel by shortening it to something that is no longer the Gospel.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes
