Acts Summary

Luke records that what began thirty years earlier in Acts chapter 1 with 120 Jewish believers quickly growing into the thousands with Jews, then Samaritans, then Gentiles believing. The gospel was being spread all over the world. The gospel had arrived in Rome, which was the epicenter of the known world for power, trade, commerce, and idolatry, but now would become mission central for Paul. Even though he was still in chains, he was able to teach people about “the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance” (v.31).

What are we to take from the book of Acts? The command to witness, the content of our witness, and the commonality of all believers to witness.
