Sermon Notes

Acts 19:8-20

In Acts 19 we find that Paul had arrived in Ephesus, spent three months in the Jewish synagogues boldly reasoning and persuading them that Jesus is the Christ. Some believed and some hated, as always seems to be the case when Paul proclaims the gospel. The non-believing Jews cause such a stink that he finally has to go to the Hall of Tyrannus. There he teaches every day for two years. What was the result of Paul’s teaching in Ephesus? The result was the confession of sin, repentance from sin, belief in Jesus unto salvation, and the spread of the gospel throughout the continent of Asia. So much so that there was a massive turning of the Ephesians to the one true God.
