1 Peter 1:2

August 19, 2018

Think of the comfort that Peter’s audience of persecuted believers felt when they heard an Apostle of Jesus Christ tell them that no matter how the world viewed them, no matter the level of rejection, isolation, or persecution they experienced, they were elect exiles, who had an eternal home, by the eternal plan of God the Father, the sanctifying work of the Spirit, and the blood of Jesus, the Son of God! Salvation from beginning to end is a supernatural work of God.

If you have been saved, the exact same truths of salvation can be said of you as well. You are elect exiles, you have an eternal home by the eternal plan of the God the Father, the sanctifying work of the Spirit, and the blood of Jesus, the Son of God!

Take this truth into your mind and your life will be turned upside down as you bask in the reality of your identity, Whose you are, by the grace of God. Salvation is far more amazing than you can imagine, and the more you learn about it from the Word of God, the more beautiful it will become to you.
