1 Peter 1:13-16

September 16, 2018

The Christian life is far more than just an emotional experience. Our salvation is based on real history, facts, and truths given to us by God through the Prophets and the Apostles. In light of all that God has done, we are to look forward and set our bearings on the fact that we will one day be with Jesus Christ, and fully embrace what it means to be saved by the grace of God. We are to set our hope on that fact, and we are to do so by using our minds. Actively prepare your mind for action. The Christian mind should not be in neutral, idle, saturated with entertainment. Prepare to fight, to run, to work for God. And be careful that you don’t allow your mind to become inebriated by the things and desires of this world.
