The Curtain Was Torn – Part 2
By: Trey Talley
Series: Mark
Yes, Christ has brought an end to the separation, but we will not experience the “full” blessing of that rent veil until our bodies have also been rent and we are made fully new. The dwelling place of God will be the same dwelling place as those who have entered through the curtain by Jesus Christ. There is no more division. Sin and all its effects have been removed. Yes, we enjoy much of this relationship now, but one day, with glorified mind, body, and soul, we will enjoy His full presence and glorify God forever because Jesus Christ has made the way for us to enter in.

Apr 2, 2017Mark 15:33-39By: Trey TalleySeries: MarkThe last scene of Jesus on the cross recorded by Mark is about a Gentile, not just any Gentile but a Roman Centurion, believing in Christ. The centurion, an officer in the Roman Army who was in charge of one hundred men, who, odds are, had overseen the whole day’s events and was now standing guard near the cross, was saved. The closing scene of the cross has to do with a Gentile being saved.Crucifixion was a normal sight to the soldiers, but this soldier realized that Jesus was not just a man, He had been given eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart to believe, that Jesus was truly the innocent Son of God who had died, and that He was to praise God for it.Thank you for listening. - Mar 12, 2017Mark 14:51-65
Mar 12, 2017Mark 14:51-65By: GuestSeries: MarkJesus undeniably claimed to be God. We can be sure of that because the high priest certainly took it that way. He tears his garments in mourning. He is confident that all those standing around him heard the same thing that he did: blasphemy. This man claimed to be the Messiah, but even more outrageously, claimed to be God. And he proceeds to sanction yet further acts of cosmic injustice as they spit on, mock, strike, and pronounce death on their Creator: the Son of the Blessed One, God Incarnate. This sermon was brought by Andrew Anderson.Thank you for listening.
