    Spiritual resurrection is immediate.
The problem with human views of resurrection is mainly that we are so mentally limited that we cannot imagine how we will be or heaven will be.

Trust in the power of God who will remain your God even after your body stops working.

God is good, loving, and patient. He is also holy, righteous, and wrathful.

A whole false religion had rejected His Prophets and even His Son. This false religion was to be destroyed and "the vineyard" given to others. The new Temple would be built upon Christ and the Apostles.

Don’t let buildings or a system ever fool you into thinking that you are in the House of God. The only way to be a part of the true House of God, the true Vineyard, is to make sure that your faith is built upon The Cornerstone, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

In this passage we see Jesus curse the fig tree. Was He just angry or was something else going on in this story?

Who comes to mind when you think of success? The rich? Famous? Movie stars? Pro-athletes? Why are they considered successful?

Jesus teaches that success lies in Him and Him alone. No matter how rich a person is on earth, without Christ they will be eternally bankrupt. There is only one way to inherit eternal life: repent of our sin and believe in Jesus Christ.

While there is definitely a point to be made in this passage about children, parents, and disciples. It appears that the overall, most important point of this short passage has to do with entering the “kingdom of God.” Jesus says,
“whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” As important as it is to learn the other lessons that could be taught from this passage, we need to make sure we understand this portion, because entrance to heaven is dependent upon it. If you are married, then stay married. Don’t look for ways out, look for ways to make it better. Learn to love the one God has put you with. If you have been divorced, perhaps you were the innocent party, don’t beat yourself up over it. If you were not the innocent party in a divorce, then do what we should do whenever we sin, confess it as sin to God, don’t wear shame and guilt for the rest of your life. Christ died to take away all of your sin, including that one. Thank you for listening. The Church at Pecan Creek is located in Denton, Texas. We invite you to join us each Sunday at 10 AM. Mark 9:42-48
    Series: Mark
Sin is no little matter. Its only perceived as little because we don’t see the end result of it. Here, in Mark Jesus warns of how serious we should take sin. It is such a huge issue that only God could provide the solution, by sending the Son to live a sinless life, give us that record of sinlessness, and to take our record and have it put on Jesus on the cross If you are a believer, then don’t treat your sin as a small thing, attack it. Actively fight against the sin that is in your life. John Owen said to starve your sinful desires to death. Don’t keep feeding them, yet expecting them to somehow go away! If you have not trusted in Christ to save you from your sins and from the punishment of your sin, then today, realize there is no sin so wonderful that it is worth spending an eternity in a real place called Hell. Turn from it and turn to Christ. Thank you for listening. The Church at Pecan Creek is located in Denton, Texas. We invite you to join us each Sunday at 10 AM.
